If Vaucluse and the Drôme are a truffière vast, Provence is the cradle of this high quality product. The truffle is really anchor in Provence, at first by its markets, but also through its truffières, its canning factories, its lounges, and naturally, by its famous restaurants.
"Le diamant noir"
So called for
its colour and its value. Truffles harvest the winter, mainly in the
comtat Venaissin and the Lubéron. Apt, Carpentras, Richerenches
and Valréas are the main discovery markets.
Rabasse
Provence seduces
eyes and captivates the smell. Nobody is in hiding exhales more aroma
and it is within it that is born this jewel of the French gastronomy
that is the truffle, named "Rabasse" in Provençal, what
we propose you from November till March, the discovery of the most beautiful
markets which conceal the aromas and the taste visits of a truffière.
Richerenches
The city was rested
by the Lord Hugues de Bourbouton in XIIe century. The Commanderie of
Templiers, is a great vestige of our history, and the famous and wellknown
truffes market is the
heart of the Popes'enclave.
